He looks at the key in his hand, then the key in Silks hand. (Prestidigitation - The leg attached to the key is now a very sickly colored green as though it has been sitting out for months, and has some mold on it, while the key has been slithering up around his arm.) "Umm. I don't think that is palatable.... *looks like he's going to throw up* Yooo can Have it "

"Yes. Quite amusing, little snack." He snatches the key and tosses the old chicken leg at the kobold. "I suggest you think before you attempt to fool me again." His body is slowly devoured by the shadows. "The consequences can be... disastrous. Yehehehe!" The shadows envelope him fully and he disappears.

Gyrax, for her part, misses most of this fun, already having set out for her room. Realizing too late that she didn't stop to have dinner, she sighs and simply proceeds to go though her series of daily prayer-obics, which basically combines praying with exercising. She already has a set of songs for that procedure, and the poor soul one floor below has to endure both the loud music and the loud stomping for the better part of an hour. And as it turns out, the poor soul one floor below just happens to be a certain skeleton of our acquaintance.

Cyrus was NOT amused by the loud stomping. He was busy going over his spells when he was suddenly disturbed by the racket. Getting up and grabbing his staff, he begins to head upstairs, finding the source of the noise easily. He sighed, not something a skeleton does often, and proceeds to bang on the harpy's door. "Quiet down in there! Or so help me, I'll blast you to hell and back, whoever you are!"

The music and the stomping cease at this request, and a moment later, a sweaty semi-nude loinclothed harpy opens the door. "Sorry! I should have picked a ground level room. We could always trade if you.... UNDEAD!!!!!"

A split-second later, the (thankfully unarmed, regrettably underdressed) harpy tries to pounce Cyrus!

Silk heard the call of 'Undead!' and leaped through the shadows to appear next to Gyrax. He instantly recognizes Cyrus as the skeleton he had been hoping to see since he had entered the insane group. "You! I've been looking for you, chew toy! My lady will be pleased at your permanent death!" He brandishes his claws, ready to fight.

Cyrus stepped back as the harpy pounced just short of him. "Ahhh, a harpy. Yeah, how do you like it?" He glanced up at the gnoll rather boredly, then sighed. "Look, technically I'm not undead, I just had my flesh and organs removed, so if we could skip to the part where I retreat back to my room..."

Silk paused. Could this skeleton be telling the truth? A living skeleton is strange but he had heard of stranger things.

The gnoll relaxes. "I suppose I can stay my claws for now. But I will consult with my lady." He sniffes the skeleton. "You don't smell dead. The marrow still lives." He extends a clawed hand toward Cyrus. "You may call me Silk, chew toy. Yehehehe!"

Cyrus was not amused about being referred to as a chew toy, but it was still better than the "not-having-guts" comment he received earlier. He reluctantly extended his bony hand to shake Silk's. "Cyrus. Cyrus Strago. Say... you folks didn't get sent here by Greehstan by any chance, did you?"

Koraph takes the key, and the chicken leg, and puts it into his pocket, then finds his way to the bar. "Can, I have a stout?" he says to the barkeep.

A banshrae looks at Koraph before turning to the tapped keg next to him. His long, nimble fingers gracefully to pick up a large tankard. He fills the container full of a rich dark stout, careful to leave minimal foam. He sets it down in front of the kobold, and holds up 2 fingers, then points at a silver coin fused to the counter.

ooc Aww, I was hoping our first battle of the campaign was gonna be between future team members! Oh, well.

Gyrax falls short of her objective, being too eager to face her 'foe' and also limited by the confinement of the inn's walls, which force her to fold her wings back. Stepping sideways, fluffed up like a fighting rooster, she notices Silk step out of the shadows and repositions herself into a flanking position. As Silk and the skeleton chat, she cocks her head and raises a feathery eyebrow. She relaxes her battle stance and gazes inquisitively at the creature before her.

Koraph, goes for his coin satchel at his side, and flips to silver pieces up on to the bar (Prestidigitation - They appear as gold pieces instead, hoping to earn some favor)

Koraph:

The banshrae narrows his eyes at you and makes a discontent cluck in his throat that sounds like he is saying "Hmph". He sweeps the silver off of the counter and places it safely behind it. He then places both spindly hands on the counter and simply looks at you.

OOC: I'm glad i'm getting these craptacular rolls out of the way

Koraph just looks away, minding his own business. The chicken is sitting in the stool next to him.(in his mind)
"So. You think that your little trick was going to keep me out? what about that disgrace with the coin, and the key. You are not worthy of the power you hold in your hand Koraph. I thought I could trust you to do your part! All it seems is that you just got lucky back in your village to save yourself. You call yourself the kin of a dragon!"

Koraph suddenly turns to the stool next to him and starts swearing at the chicken in draconic. "YOU CHOSE ME! YOU TOLD ME IT WAS MY DESTINY TO RULE OVER ALL DRAGON KIND! FOLLOW YOU! SEEMS LIKE A HUGE MISTAKE, and I LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF YOU!"
